This Week's SuperFamily Notes (week of 10/25):
Table of Contents
-Red Hot Contest
-Invitations Only
-Spooky Tips and Ideas
-From SuperFamily to SuperFriends
-In the News

------------------------------------------------------------
Red Hot Contest
---------------
OK, we admit it may not be the most original name for a contest, but with the prizes we're giving away, it seemed to fit. Entering is easy: Just tell us what you like about SuperFamily and you're in. Then, every two weeks, you'll have a chance to win a Red Hot Prize (this week's prize is a digital camera). In the coming weeks, we'll also be giving away scanners and a personal computer.
------------------------------------------------------------
Invitations Only
----------------
Your SuperFamily website is built around family, so make sure that all your family knows about it. Just go to your website and invite them to join (in your site, click on "settings," and then on "invite members"). Then, they can easily enter the Red Hot Contest, take part in discussions, view your WishList (and add their own) and photo albums. They'll become a part of your everyday online family, too--no matter how far away they live.

And don't forget-when you invite five new members to join SuperFamily you'll get a free SuperFamily T-Shirt (and instantly become the envy of your neighborhood)!
------------------------------------------------------------
Spooky Tips and Ideas
---------------------
Don't just dress up this Halloween, dress up your SuperFamily website. Your family album can be a great place to add pictures of your little goblins, ghosts and Pokemon (all are pretty scary). You can also use your discussion area to talk about how you're going to dress your child, ideas for a safe Halloween party, and maybe even get some tips on how to make that costume your kid is begging for. By the way, if you do find out what a Pikachu is made of, or if you just want to share some of your ideas with other SuperFamily members, make sure to let us know (and you'll also automatically be entered in the Red Hot Contest).
------------------------------------------------------------
From SuperFamily to SuperFriends
--------------------------------
You told us you wanted a site like SuperFamily for you and your friends, and we listened! The new SuperFriends.com (at http://www.superfriends.com) is a great place to keep in touch with your college buddies, your sorority sisters, friends from work, etc. It has some of the same great features as SuperFamily, but with a whole new style. Check it out and tell us what you think.
------------------------------------------------------------
In the News
-----------
Thanks to the thousands of people like you who have started their own family website on SuperFamily.com, we were mentioned in a special supplement to the Oct. 11th issue of Time Magazine. The article talks about how seniors are staying in touch with their techno-savvy grandkids--and how using SuperFamily.com is a great way to stay connected (something you already know)!

With the Recipes area (accessible right from your SuperFamily.com website), you can quickly add all of the instructions, ingredients, and special notes for your favorite holiday goodies.

So this year, if you're missing your mother's Christmas cookies or your aunt's gingerbread men, you can make them for your own family. Of course, they'll probably be so good they'll expect you to make them every year, but that's up to you!

SUPERHOLIDAY IDEAS!
-------------------
Your SuperFamily site can be the perfect home for all your holiday memories-and a great way to stay in touch this season, as you've told us over the past few weeks. Well, as promised, we've put those ideas together. Here are some of the best:
-Capture those precious moments opening presents, and then add them to a family album. Each family can have their own album, and then the whole SuperFamily can share everyone's holiday by looking through the different albums.
-Use the Newspaper to have children and grandchildren write about what the holidays mean to them. Create a special section, just for these stories.
-Exchange recipes with the Family Recipe center. Then, each member can make one recipe, and bring them all to a family holiday dinner.
-Start a Discussion about New Year's Resolutions--so your whole SuperFamily can help you stick to your promise this year!
----------------------------------------------------------------
FROM SUPERFAMLY, TO SUPERFRIENDS

TESTIMONIALS
------------
As we continue to get testimonials and suggestions, we'll post some of them here--so you can see what other SuperFamily members are doing with their websites and hear how they feel about SuperFamily.com. Here's just a few:

"I just joined but think that it is great...it also gives you an opportunity to talk to family members (chat room) that live in other cities and states without running up your phone bill. I've only been a member for 2-hours and I love it already!!!"
--David Harris

"I think this is a wonderful idea. I've wanted to create a website for family and friends around the country to view for some time, but didn't know how to get started. I really like being able to post pictures and happenings so that my children's grandparents can keep up with them. Thanks again!"
--Patti Whitworth

"It is nice to have a web site that is private for family only. I had been wanting to set up a family web site, but didn't want the whole world to see it. This gives me a chance to do exactly what I have always wanted to do. Thanks for a great website."
--Ellen Stobaugh

And, of course, you can always tell us what you think at feedback@supergroups.com. ----------------------------------------------------------------
STILL RED, STILL HOT

Tell us what we can do to make your website the best it can be, and we'll reward you by entering you into the Red Hot Contest--so named because of the red hot prizes like digital cameras, scanners, and computers.
