i Zoom 60
An innovative new addition to our growing series of Advanced Photo System™ cameras, the stylish i Zoom 60 combines an ultracompact design and an incredible array of powerful functions with the only all-weather body in its class. Based on the award-winning design of our famous Stylus series, the i Zoom 60 produces exceptionally crisp, clear and vibrantly colorful pictures from the slopes to the shores.

With its versatile 28-60mm 2x zoom lens and intelligent variable, quick-charging flash, the i Zoom 60 is an elegant but powerful performer—and takes full advantage of the benefits of APS film. But even with all of its impressive features, the i Zoom 60 is still small enough to put in a shirt pocket or suit jacket—and good-looking, durable and intuitive enough to make sure you'll never want to put it away at all.

Features and Benefits

  • Powerful 28-60mm 2x Zoom lens (the equivalent of a 35-75mm lens in a 35mm format camera) lets you zoom in or out, for detail or for sweeping panoramic vistas—helping to maximize the effectiveness and versatility of APS film
  • Solid and durable, an internal stainless steel construction and the only all-weather housing in its class protects the i Zoom against sudden showers, splashing and snow—letting you shoot with confidence in the sun or the rain
  • Incredibly compact, stylish lightweight design is ergonomically contoured to provide comfortable, steady use—for excellent, professional-looking results

  • Full Range Auto Macro means shots can be taken at any point in the zooming range, for clear, sharp images from as close as two feet
  • Optional remote control makes it easy to control the shutter from as far away as 16 feet
  • Dioptric Correction is built-in to compensate for eyesight problems
  • Convenient Focus Lock keeps the subject in focus while the photographer adjusts the composition

Lens

  • Versatile 2.1x lens zooms from 28-60mm
  • Shoot from groups to close-ups with a touch of the zoom lever
  • Asperhical lens elements superior resolution in a smaller, lighter lens—translating into great, sharp, vivid pictures

Flash System
The i Zoom 60’s flash system (with only a 2.5 second recycle) has several sensors to input information about the required illumination—not only triggering the flash automatically when needed, but adjusting the intensity for situations like close-up shooting, to help make sure your pictures aren’t "washed out" or overexposed.

In addition, the i Zoom 60 features six versatile flash modes that make it easy for anyone to take great photographs:

  • Auto Flash fires automatically in low light to help ensure the illumination is appropriate
  • Red-Eye Reduction Flash Mode emits a series of pre-flashes right before the shutter snaps, allowing the subject's eyes to adjust to the light level of the flash—minimizing the red-eye effect
  • Night Scene Flash Mode automatically lowers the shutter speed, helping to ensure that both foreground and background are properly illuminated for night scenes
  • Fill-In Flash Mode softens the sharp contrasts, for a more natural look in photos when your subject is in both bright light and dark shadow
  • Flash Off Mode is available when flash photography is not permitted, or for special "moody" effects using available light
  • Red-Eye Reduction Night Scene Mode reduces the red-eye effect in pictures taken in the Night Scene Mode

APS Benefits

  • APS film cartridges offer easy, drop-in loading

  • Choose from three print formats:

    Standard

    HDTV (wide-screen television)

    Panorama

  • Date and time imprinting
  • Photo finishers can use imprinted data about flash usage and subject brightness to enhance print quality
  • Convenient index print allows you to view all the photos on the roll, so ordering reprints and enlargements is easier than ever
